The highly anticipated New Zealand Wine Festival Seoul & Busan makes its grand return to Korea in 2025!

As in past years, events will be organized in both Seoul and Busan, aiming to showcase some of New Zealand’s finest wines from various wine regions across the country.

Since 2009, The New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Korea, also known as “The Kiwi Chamber,” has been organizing successful wine festivals. This year is no exception. Once again, the New Zealand Wine Festival Seoul & Busan will present a variety of sustainably grown premium wines from over 25 New Zealand wineries.

The festival will be held in two vibrant cities, Seoul and Busan, each ensuring a unique experience.

This year marks the
25th and 26th editions of the wine festivals!

The first event in Seoul will take place at the luxurious Grand Hyatt Seoul’s Waterfall Garde on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The New Zealand Wine Festival in Busan will occur at the stunning Park Hyatt Busan on Saturday, May 24th, 2025 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The 2025 New Zealand Wine Festival Seoul & Busan

Both festival venues will offer a high-quality experience, including a relaxing outdoor
BBQ-style buffet in Seoul and the Park Hyatt’s signature buffet in Busan. The events will
feature a selection of New Zealand cheeses and charcuterie with fresh fruits which match
perfectly with wine.

New Zealand Wine in Korea

Dr. Tony Garrett, Chairman of The Kiwi Chamber, expressed enthusiasm for the continued success of the New Zealand Wine Festivals, noting that they have grown steadily over the years and continue to delight guests with premium wines and cuisine.

In 2024, New Zealand became the sixth-largest wine exporter to South Korea, with wine imports reaching USD 25.36 million, a major increase from the previous year. Korean consumers continue to show growing interest in New Zealand wines, particularly Sauvignon Blanc, which remains a leading driver in the white wine category.

Bilateral trade between the two countries remains strong, and Korea stands as New Zealand’s fifth-largest export market and trading partner. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the Korea-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (KNZFTA), under which two-way trade has more than doubled. Key New Zealand exports to Korea include dairy, aluminium, wood, and fruit.

Each event will feature a curated selection of artisanal New Zealand cheeses, charcuterie, fresh fruits, and delectable desserts, meticulously chosen to complement the wines and enhance the tasting experience.

Entertainment and Activities:

Guests will also enjoy traditional Māori haka performances, lively DJ sets and photo
zones, along with a raffle with numerous prizes, including hotel packages and airline
tickets.
