Tokyo Indie Games Summit started in 2023 in Kichijoji, Musashino City, with the aim of becoming “a place where various talents of indie game creators can gather together and be inspired to pursue their goals.” For creators, it is “an opportunity to present their works and interact with users and creators.” For users, it is “an opportunity to discover and experience new games and creators.”

“Seeing the amazing energy of creators and fans from all over to come together in Kichijoji was truly inspiring,” says Kazuniori Sakamoto, founder of Phoenixx. “We are immensely grateful for the growth of TIGS, and are putting plans in place to ensure 2026 is our biggest year to date. Stay tuned for what’s next!”

With these record-breaking numbers, the future continues to shine brightly on the Tokyo Indie Games Summit. Until next year!
